MUSKEGON — Mona Shores’ girls softball team swept a doubleheader from Grand Rapids Union, 17-0 and 21-2 at home Thursday afternoon.

In the opener, Mia Geoghan earned the win in the circle for the Sailors, allowing just one hit and striking out four.

At the plate the Sailors were led by sophomore Brooklyn Graham, who had three hits and six runs batted in, while senior Avery Johnson produced two hits and collected two RBI.

Game two winner was junior Macey Spaniola who gave up just two hits and struck out six.

Spaniola also starred at the plate, stroking out three hits and collecting four RBI, while senior Elizabeth Savacool and Geoghan each had three hits.
