ALLENDALE—The Muskegon Community College outdoor track and field teams took a short trip south this weekend and competed at Grand Valley State University.

Pacing the way on the track for the men’s side again was Zac Pray matching his season best in 400m dash (50.65) (7th overall) with a strong back stretch wind. Zac Pray also competed in the 200m dash (22.50) and joining him was Tyler Waker (23.30 season best), Tremain Willis (23.53 season best) and Ben Wyatt (25.17). Payton Dobben ran the 100m dash (11.45). Adam Wollfis and Kaden Hainer competed in the 5k finishing 49th and 51st respectively.

On the ladies side the track was hot starting off with PRs for both Faith Clark in the 400m dash (64.07) good for a heat 2 win and Katie Ferris getting her first run of the season at the 400m dash,  first in heat 4 with a (66.52). In the 100m dash Kaylin Meyers finished (13.69).

In the field events Katie Ferris followed up her 400m dash with a high jump mark of 1.42m. Karleigh Jefferies had a season best throw of 34.75m or 114ft good for 11th out of 40 ladies competing. 

The Jayhawks will be in action again this Friday and Saturday at the Davenport Invitational.
