HART — Hart’s baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Manistee Catholic Central, 16-1 and 12-2 at home Friday night.
Blake Weirich was the winning pitcher in Game 1, giving up just one hit.
The Pirates pounded out 12 hits with Kory Charron, Logan Purdy and Nick Simon all having multiple hit games.
Charron tossed a complete-game victory in the nightcap.
Weirich went 2-for-4 at the plate, while Kyan Clark was 2-for-3 with four runs batted in.
Hart improved to 4-4 on the season.
