Whitehall’s baseball team swept Oakridge in a West Michigan Conference doubleheader on a blustery Thursday afternoon, 5-2 and 5-3 in a game called after five innings due to darkness.

In the first game Ryne Christensen was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits while striking out 11 and walking two.

Jaden Brinkert led the Vikings at the plate with two hits, including a double, and two runs batted in. Kyle Stratton also had two hits with a double and two RBIs.

Stratton took the mound in the second game and earned the win, allowing five hits while striking out four and issuing four free passes.

Noah Meinert was the leading hitter in the second game with a double and two RBIs. Taryn Hardy had two hits.
