FRUITPORT–Fruitport’s baseball team swept a doubleheader over Coopersville, 9-3 and 7-1 at home on Thursday afternoon.

The first game was a completion of the second game from Tuesday.

Gavin Reames and Cody Matuz each had two hits, while Ryan Bosch knocked in two runs. Mayson Whitlow was the winning pitcher, spinning a two-hitter and striking out 13 in seven innings.

In the second game Thursday Reames rapped out three hits and Matuz had two with three RBIs, while Whitlow added a pair of RBIs.

Reames was on the hill for the Trojans and threw a four-hitter with 11 strike outs.
