GRAND HAVEN — Grand Haven’s baseball team split a OK Conference-Red doubleheader from Jenison, winning the opener 5-1 and losing the nightcap 13-0 at home Wednesday night.

H. Aldred was the winning pitcher in game one, going seven innings and allowing one run on six hits while striking out four.

The Buccaneers finished the game with eights, led by V. Vargas who was 2-for-3 with one run scored. M. Chciuk had one hit.

R. Riemersma started the second game and pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing 10 runs, four earned, on eight hits and one walk with two strike outs.

H. Bowen finished the game, throwing 3 1/3 innings and giving up three runs on three hits and one walk with one strike out.

The Bucs had only one hit.
