MUSKEGON — Catholic Central’s baseball team defeated Oakridge, 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon.

Oakridge managed seven hits off Crusader pitchers. Croix Klint was the winning pitcher with two scoreless innings of relief. Sam Convertini pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the save.

Adrian Lanore took the loss for the Eagles.

The Eagles scored two runs in the second and two more in the third to take a 4-0 lead.

But the Crusaders responded with a big five-run sixth and were never headed after that.

A two-run double by Jacob Lyonnais and a two-run triple by Sam Kartes were the big hits for the Crusaders. Dewey Madoff and Klint each had two hits.

Lanore and Evan Miller each had two hits for the Eagles.

The Crusaders are now 14-13 on the season.
