BIG RAPIDS—The Fremont girls track team performed very well Monday finishing 2nd at the Conference Championship Meet on Monday held in Big Rapids.

We have a very small team this year, we just don’t have depth and that makes it tough to win meets,” said Fremont coach Cliff Somers.

The 18 girls on the team are amazing! They work hard and give everything they have. I am so proud of their efforts and attitudes. The girls really stepped up tonight.”

High lights of the meet for Fremont were:

Kennedy Christoffersen (Sr) 1st in 100 hurdles, 2nd in long jump, 3rd in 4×100, 3rd in 4×200

Erica Maddox (Sr) 2nd in high jump, 3rd in 4×200

Victoria Ekkel (So) 2nd in 200, 3rd in the 100, 3rd in 4×100, 3rd in 4×200

Lauren O’Malley (So) 2nd in 100 hurdles, 3rd in 300 hurdles

Avery Christoffersen (So) 3rd in 4×100, 4th in 300 hurdles

Justina Reimerova (Sr) 3rd in 4×100

Morgan Best (Jr) 3rd in 4×200

Big PR in shot and discus for Adrianna Cushman (Fr)

Olivia Stroven with a 4th place finish in pole vault

The Packers will have a home meet Wednesday.
