Fremont split its twinbill softball matchup with Grant on Tuesday with a 6-5 win in the opener.

Sage Vandenberg was the hero in the opener, hitting a double in the seventh inning to drive in the winning run for Fremont.

The Packers’ Savannah Keur set up the win with a 2-run homer that tied the game 5-5 in the seventh inning.

Fremont managed 13 hits in the win as Sydney Dunbar and Keur managed three hits in the win.

The Game-2 loss did not go as well for Fremont as it only managed five hits in the loss.

The Packers are next up at Oakridge on Thursday and back home on Friday against Howard City Tri-County.
