FRUITPORT — Fruitport’s girls softball team lost an OK Conference-Blue doubleheader to Hamilton, 13-0 and 13-2 at home Monday afternoon.

In the first game the Trojans had only two hits and committed four errors while Hamilton rapped out 12 hits and were guilty of only one fielding miscue.

Rylee Lusk had both of the Trojans’ hits in two at-bats.

Kadence Springstead pitched the first two innings and gave up nine runs (five earned) on seven hits, walked two and struck out two.

Riley Zwar finished the game, throwing the final three innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and striking out four batters.

In the second game the Trojans had eight hits but committed four errors in the field.

Lusk again had two hits to lead the Trojans. Olive Staal also had a pair of hits and drove in two runs. Maddie Kohnke had one hit and had one RBI. Teagan Schultz and Springstead also had base hits.

Kohnke started the game in the circle for the Trojans and gave up six runs on eight hits and walked one in 2 1/3 innings, while Brooklyn Russell threw the next  2 1/3 innings and allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits with one walk and four strike outs and Springstead pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits and had two strike outs.
