HESPERIA — Hesperia’s girls softball team swept a Central State Activities Association-Silver doubleheader with Lakeview, 10-6 and 17-10 at home Friday afternoon.

Emma Joppich was the winning pitcher for the Panthers, allowing only two earned runs, striking out six and walking three in seven innings to improve her record to 4-3.

Kayla Rumsey was the team’s offensive leader with two hits, three runs batted in and one run scored. Ally Townsend had two hits and one RBI, Emmi Tinkham had two hits with one RBI and two runs scored and Adrian Slater the same.

Skok pitched seven innings in the nightcap and improved to 5-2 on the season with three walks and four strike outs.

Townsend had a big game with five hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Emma Joppich contributed three hits, four RBI and two runs scored. Emmi Joppich had three hits, three RBI and two runs scored.

Abby Joppich added three hits with a run scored, Emma Muckey had three hits, one RBI and three runs scored.

Holton improved to 9-5 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
