CUSTER–On Saturday the Pentwater Falcons traveled to Custer to compete in the Mason County Eastern softball tournament.

In game one, Pentwater faced off against Manistee Catholic Central and shut out the Sabres 11-0.

Pentwater jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning and never looked back.

Mikaylyn Kenney was dialed in on the mound, pitching 5 great innings. Kenney struck out 12, allowed only one hit and didn’t walk a batter.

The Falcons were able to tally 10 hits, Kenney had two singles and a triple. Mandi Sayles added a single as did Bailee Hasil. Mackenna Hasil added 2 singles along with Maren Martinsen and Charlie Swanger added a double.

In game two, Pentwater took on the White Cloud Indians and posted a 9-0 win.

The Falcons started this game off with hot bats, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Falcons were able to add three more runs in the 2nd and three more in the 4th inning to close out the scoring.

Kenney again was phenomenal from the circle, pitching 6 innings, striking out 15, walking no Indians, and allowing no hits, adding another no-hitter to her tally.

The Falcons were once again balanced on the attack with Bailee Hasil leading the way with three hits.
