BIG RAPIDS–The Kent City boys golf team traveled to Big Rapids Monday to play in a CSAA event with 12 teams.

The course was very wet, but playable, and the players had to adjust their game accordingly.

The Eagles came in 5th place on the day, just a few strokes out of 4th place.

Leading the team were seniors Brock Hearth (89) and RJ Mortensen (94), along with sophomore Blake Carlson (97).

The Eagles played tough, but all the players agreed it wasn’t one of their best performances, according to Kent City golf coach Chad Dailey.

Kent City is back in action tomorrow at Moss Ridge for a home CSAA event at 9am.
