SPRING LAKE –The Mona Shores boys lacrosse team posted a 10-2 win against the Spring Lake Lakers on Saturday.

Nine Sailors found the net for scores in the balanced offensive attack, while the defense played one of their best games of the season.

Landon Taylor led the way with two goals and an assist, while Jake Nanna followed with two goals of his own. Also, Luke Beilhartz and Eric Cotber each added a goal and an assist.

Parker Hayward garnered an 83% save percentage with 10 saves on the day.

Some of the Sailors have really stepped up to help their team and Coach Murle Greer believes that has been critical.

We have been asking a few guys to play out of position due to injuries and other commitments and appreciate their willingness to help,” said Greer.

This was a big win for us against a talented and well-coached team.”

Mona Shores will travel to Holland Christian on Tuesday.

Spring Lake will host Byron Center on Thursday.
