MUSKEGON — Montague’s baseball team defeated Muskegon Catholic Central, 10-7 in eight innings on the road on Thursday afternoon in a non-league contest.

Nick Moss earned the win in relief of starter Kade Johnson for the Wildcats.

Colton Blankstrom, Moss and Hayden McDonald each had two hits for the Wildcats.

Sam Convertini was the starting pitcher for the Crusaders, but gave way to Dewey Modaff in relief and Modaff took the loss.

Croix Klint had two hits for the Crusaders, while Modaff and Vince Szymanski each knocked in two runs.

Tate Stine had a two-run double in the sixth inning to tie the game at 7-7 for the Wildcats.
