STEVENSVILLE–The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks fell short against the Jackson Community College Jets 3-1 in NJCAA Region XII action on Thursday.

The game was played at LYBSA Field-Kohn Sports Complex in Stevensville.

Makayla Thompson (Reeths Puffer High School) took the loss for the Jayhawks on the mound, throwing 8 innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out four.

The Jayhawks had 9 hits throughout the 8 innings.

Kendyll Bond (Jenison High School) and Kennadi Dykstra (Fruitport High School) collected multiple hits for the Jayhawks. Bond went 2 for 3 at the plate and Dykstra went 3 for 4 with an RBI.

The Jayhawks are now 33-9 on the season and will be back in action today (May 12).
