Norden scores two goals to lead Sailors past Forest Hills Northern 4-1 in district soccer action on Thursday

NORTON SHORES –The Mona Shores girls soccer team kicked off the Division 1 district tournament with a solid 4-1 victory over Forest Hills Northern on Thursday evening.

Shay Norden led the way with a pair of goals for the Sailors. Ali Trautner and Lauren Hylland also found the net for a score a piece.

Mya Cooper and Lydia Sowles each assisted on a goal.

The defensive unit of Molly Wolf, Hylland, Mal Hogston and Emma Anderson played disruptive in the mid-field.

Mona Shores (14-4-2) will be at home for a district semi-final matchup against Grand Haven next Wednesday at 5 p.m.
