MUSKEGON — Oakridge’s girls softball team swept a West Michigan Conference doubleheader from visiting Ravenna, 11-6 and 9-6 at home Wednesday night.

Brooklyn Galdeen was the winning pitcher in game one, giving up nine hits, one walk and striking out three in seven innings.

Andrea Romero had three hits, including a grand slam home run and a double with four RBI to lead the Eagles at the plate.

Madison Clark also had a home run to go with a single and had three RBI. Galdeen added two doubles and Jasmine Pastor had a home run and two RBI.

Emma Gillard was in the circle for the Bulldogs and took the loss. She gave up eight runs on nine hits and struck out four. Addison Gillard entered the gamae with two outs in the fifth inning and gave up three runs on two hits, two walks and struck out one.

Addison Gillard led the Bulldogs at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles. Maddie Kilbourne was 2-for-4, Emma Herremans finished 1-for-4 with a double.

Kara Postma went 1-for-2 with a double, Kendra Denhof was 1-for-4 and Liberty Willick was 1-for-3.

Oakridge freshman Kylee Willea made her first varsity start in Game 2 and went seven complete innings, giving up six runs on 10 hits with four strike outs.

Pastor hit a grand slam home run in the sixth inning to give the Eagles the lead and also had one other hit. Brenna Cabrera also had two hits. Mallori Whipple, Ahria Doombos, Galdeen and Clark each had RBI singles.

Addison Gillard took the loss for the Bulldogs. She gave up nine runs on eight hits and struck out two.

Herremans was 3-for-4 at the plate, with Addison Gillard also going 3-for-4 with a double, Emma Gillard went 2-for-4, Kilbourne was 2-for-4 and Willick had a double.

Ravenna is now 16-2 overall and 8-2 in the WMC. Oakridge remained undefeated at 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the WMC.
