MUSKEGON –The Oakridge Eagles girls soccer team got past Grant in the opening round of the district tournament on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles escaped with a 2-0 win over the Tigers.

After a scoreless first half, The Eagles’ Saidee Raap netted a pair of goals to put away the game. Assists on those goals came from Kate Utzinger and Bri Benson.

Goalkeeper Izzy Glassford posted the shutout for the Eagles with a solid 16 save performance.

Oakridge (7-13-1, 4-3) will move on to the next round of the district tournament.

The Grant Tigers concluded their season with a record of 6-8-3.
