HOLTON — Ryann Robins threw a no-hitter in the nightcap as the Holton girls softball team swept a Central State Activities Association-Silver doubleheader with White Cloud, 16-0 and 15-0 at home Friday afternoon.

Abbie Fowler pitched the first game for the Red Devils, and came close to a no-hitter herself, giving up just one hit, no walks and striking out seven.

Fowler also contributed offensively, going 2-for-4 with two triples and four runs batted in. Kenzie Greene went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Emma Monette was 2-for-2 with three RBI, Robins added a double and Aubrey Goyings also had a hit and two RBI.

Robins struck out nine batters in registering her no-no in the second game.

Alana Cregg was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI, Greene was 2-for-3 with five RBI, Goyings had a hit and two stolen bases and Fowler had three steals.

Holton improved to 10-2 on the season.
