SPRING LAKE — Spring Lakes girls softball team dropped an O-K Blue doubleheader to Allendale, 1-0 and 15-4 at home Tuesday afternoon.
In the first game, Avery Flynn locked up in a pitching duel with Halle Mockridge of Allendale.
Flynn gave up six hits, had no walks and struck out 15 for the Lady Lakers. Mockridge gave up just two hits, walked one and struck out 10.
Alexa Carter and Flynn had one hit apiece for the Lady Lakers.
Ashton Reagan supplied a home run for Allendale in the fifth inning.
In the nightcap, Flynn again took the circle for the Lady Lakers and took the loss. giving up 15 hits and a walk while striking out four batters.
Spring Lake had six hits, as Flynn had two hits while Tegan Rose, Alena Martin, Tessa Britt and Avery Britt each had single hits.
