MUSKEGON — West Michigan Christian lost both ends of a non-conference baseball doubleheader at home on Saturday to Ravenna, 8-2 and 5-1 in a rain shortened nightcap.

The Warriors managed only five hits in the opener, with Sam Liggett leading with a triple. Jono Clausing added a double as five different players got a hit.

Alex Wagonmaker took the loss on the hill.

WMC produced only three hits in the nightcap, one apiece by Liggett, Clausing and Sam Sipe. Ethan Hill took the loss.

“These are two games where we really shot ourselves in the foot with uncharacteristic mistakes, both on defense and on the bases,” said WMC head coach Mark Hill.

“We’ll use these games as an opportunity to work on some things and get better. The guys will need to wipe these game from their minds and focus on the goals ahead of us.”

The Warriors dropped to 6-4 overall.
