ROCKFORD — Whitehall’s baseball team lost a non-conference doubleheader to Forest Hills Eastern, 6-0 and 7-0 at the Meijer Sports Complex in Rockford on Monday.

Forest Hills threw a no-hitter at the Vikings in the first game, and never needed more than the three runs it scored in the bottom of the first inning and added two in the fifth.

Ryne Christensen started the game on the mound for the Vikings, throwing just two innings and giving up three earned runs on five hits and a walk.

Jack McDowell finished the game, going four innings and giving up a run on two hits with one strike out.

Whitehall managed just two hits in the nightcap, one apiece by Jaden Brinkert and Evan Ritchie.

Isaac VanAmberg pitched the first 4 2/3 innings for the Vikings and allowed two earned runs on five hits with three walks and two strike outs.

Sam Cole threw the final 1 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk.
