ZEELAND — Whitehall came in third and Spring Lake fourth in Friday’s Division 2 regional track meet hosted by Zeeland East.

Allendale won the team title with 90.5 points while Whitehall had 85.5 for third and Spring Lake 66 for fourth. Fremont finished seventh with 44 points, Coopersville eighth with 39, Fruitport 11th with 29, Orchard View 12th with 17 and Oakridge 13th with five points in the 13-team meet.

Whitehall won the 800-meter relay with a 1:31.60 time. The Vikings also picked up a second from Gabe Reavey in the discus. Spring Lake’s James Handrich won the pole vault and added a first place from its 1,600-meter relay team.

Spring Lake had a 3:24.64 time for the relay. The Lakers also picked up a second and third from Ian Hill and Carter Phillips in the 800-meter run and a third from Hill in the 1,600-meter run.

Fremont’s Conor Somers won the 800-meter run in 1:55.57 and and came in second in the 1,600-meter run with a 4:26.74 time. Gabe Whittle finished second in the long job for Fremont. Fruitport won the 400-meter relay in 43.66 seconds and added a first place from Cody Nash in the 200-meter dash. Nash had a 23.15-seconds time. Coopersville’s Nick Gordon won the 100-meter dash in 11.05-seconds.
