KENT CITY–Kent City’s Alyeska Linsley has signed her national letter of intent to run at Cornerstone University next year. The senior officially made her commitment last month in a signing surrounded by friends and family.

During her time on the track team, Kent City has won four consecutive conference championships. Linsley has earned first-team all-conference in three different events.

As a cross country runner, Linsley helped the team earn four state finals appearances and one state runner-up trophy. She finished her senior season at the state meet with a personal best of 19:45.

Aly has been a gem,” said Kent City coach Jill Evers. “She’s been a consistent and reliable quality cross country and track distance runner. But more importantly, she has been a person of integrity and a fantastic team leader.”

Cornerstone is an NAIA Christian university in Grand Rapids. The women’s cross country team is one of the top NAIA schools in the country, placing third at the national championship last year.

Linsley graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She is unsure of a major at Cornerstone.

She is the daughter of Mark and Dusty Linsley.
