LUDINGTON–RyAnn Rohrer, a basketball and track standout from Ludington High School, has signed her national letter of intent to continue her career at Calvin University.

Rohrer helped lead the Ludington girls basketball team to the Division 2 state semifinals this past winter. As a senior, she averaged 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block per game.

I know that Calvin is getting an amazing player and an even better person,” Ludington girls basketball coach Warren Stowe said. “RyAnn is a tremendous leader and she often had to defend all five positions on the basketball court. She’s an extremely disciplined person and hard worker. I am proud of RyAnn and excited to see the path her future takes.”

Rohrer throws shot put and discus for the Ludington track and field team. She is heading to the state finals after taking first in both events at regionals. Rohrer is currently ranked the No. 1 thrower in all of Michigan, regardless of division.

Rohrer earned all-state honors in basketball, swimming, and track at Ludington. She also was named the Ludington High School female athlete of the year for 2021-22.

RyAnn is graduating as a highly decorated athlete here in Ludington,” said Stowe.

RyAnn also excels in the classroom. She will graduate with a 4.1 GPA.

She is undecided on a major at Calvin, but is interested in environmental studies, Spanish and media.

RyAnn is the daughter of Chris and D’Ann Rohrer.
