NORTON SHORES –The Mona Shores girls soccer team cruised their way past Grand Haven on Wednesday evening to advance to the Division 1 district finals.

The Sailors topped the Bucs by a score of 3-0.

Three different Sailors contributed to the scoring on the night.

Mia Brown, Ali Trautner and Shay Norden each tallied a score. Assists on those goals came from Lilly Houle, Norden and Emma Anderson.

Also, Mal Hogston, Addison Fisher, Ali Phillips and Lauren Hylland aided in the victory with a strong effort on the field.

Ella Buikema posted her seventh shutout of the season in the net for the Sailors.

Mona Shores (15-4-2) will take on the Rockford Rams on Friday evening for the district championship.

Grand Haven wraps up the year with a record of 4-15-1.
