The Muskegon Clippers dropped their Friday night baseball game, 9-2 to the visiting Royal Oak Leprechauns.

Muskegon fell behind in the first inning, 1-0 and allowed four more runs in the fourth.

The Clippers found their first run in the bottom of the fourth but let in four more runs between the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.  

James Geshel took the loss on the mound, giving up six hits across four innings while striking out five.

Logan Hylek led Muskegon at the plate with a single, an RBI and two runs.

Muskegon (1-3) bats struggled in the loss, earning just five hits across nine innings of play.

The Clippers continue their three-game home series with Royal Oak on Saturday with a 7:05 pm start. Sunday’s matchup is set for a 7:05 pm start.
