The Muskegon Heights track team received an exciting boost at Saturday’s Division 4 state finals in Hudsonville.
 
Omarion Mason, Anthony Floyd, Jakari Edwards and Ashton Smith earned all-state honors with second-place finishes in both the 400 relay and 800 relay events.

The Tigers’ squad turned in times of 44.23 (400 relay) and 1:32.55,  and earned Muskegon Heights 16 total points for 13th place.
 
The Tigers relay team consists of three seniors in Mason, Edwards and Smith, while Floyd is a junior. 
 
The four reached the state finals in the 400 and 800 relay events by taking first place at regionals in Brethren on May 21, with times of 45.344 and 1:34.81.
