LEROY — Ludington’s girls volleyball team swept a triangular meet with LeRoy Pine River and Benzie Central in non-conference action Wednesday night in LeRoy.

The Orioles defeated Pine River (25-19, 25-12) and the host Huskies (25-7, 25-21).

 
“The girls came out with a lot of energy and played hard,” Ludington coach Liz Holden said. “Our bench stepped up and played really well tonight. I was really proud of how quickly they came together.”
 
Pacing the Orioles was Jordyn Anderson, who had 8 aces, 4 digs, 13 assists, 4 blocks and 3 kills.
 
Mia Pung followed with 3 aces, 12 digs, 1 assist and 1 kill. Keelyn Laird contributed 1 block, 5 kills and 6 digs. Maddy Vaara had 2 aces, 1 block and 7 kills.
 
Karli Mesyar added 3 aces, 2 digs and 5 assists. Ashley McPike had 3 blocks and 5 kills. Mia Voss ended the night with 1 dig, 2 blocks and 3 kills. Mia Bryant contributed 1 dig, and Delaney Williams had 1 block.
 
The Orioles’ next competition is Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Manistee in a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division match.
