GRAND RAPIDS –The Fremont boys soccer team had a tough go of things in a tournament hosted by Kenowa Hills on Saturday.

The Packers opened with a hard 4-3 loss to Grant despite battling back from a 3-0 deficit early in the second half.

John Vissia scored a goal and had an assist, while Deagan Klimek and Tee Ward each netted a goal.

Lucas Zanetti and Ian Otis bagged a pair of goals apiece for the Tigers.

The day tougher in a 7-1 rout at the hands of Kenowa Hills to finish out the tournament.

Jude Fair scored the lone goal for the Packers.

Goalkeepers Ben Mellema and Caleb Vissia split time in the net and made nine and seven saves, respectively.

Fremont (2-3) will be at home against Big Rapids on Monday.
