BENZONIA — Hart’s boys cross country team won easily over Traverse City St. Francis, 43-82 to take the first-place trophy in the Medium Schools Division at the Pete Moss Invitational Saturday in Benzonia.

Manistee’s boys finished in 11th, with Mason County Central 13th while Hesperia 14th.

For the girls, it was Hart finishing second behind Traverse City St. Francis, while Manistee was fifth, Montague placed 13th, Shelby took 16th and Mason County Central 17th in the Medium Schools Division..

In the boys’ Big School Division, it was Spring Lake taking fourth place, Ludington eighth and Montague 11th. On the girls’ side, Spring Lake was sixth and Ludington eighth.

Clayton Ackley paced the Pirate boys with a second-place finish. Right on his heels was teammate Seth Ackley in third with Wyatt Dean taking seventh.

Manistee was led by Luke Senters in 36h place followed by Jack O’Donnell (37th) and Drew Mendians (71st).

The highest finisher for Mason County Central was Gavin Shirey, who was 38th. He was followed by teammate Cullen Kraus-McCarty (48th) and Johnson Trey.

North Muskegon had Jude Meldrum-Roy finish in 30th place, with Evan Atkinson-Miller taking 32nd and Parker Maciejewski coming in 50th.

Shelby’s top three runners were Parker Maciejewski (50th), Jonathon Carballido (79th) and Ethan Fessenden (93rd).

The top three finishers for Hesperia were Stephen Priese (53rd), Andrew Sherburn (84th) and Lance Smith (99th).

Hart’s girls were paced by Jessica Jazwinski with a first-place finish. She was followed by teammates Alyson Enns in second and Lexie Beth Nienhuis in 12th.

Manistee’s top three finishers included Cecilia Postma (ninth), Audrey Huizinga (49th) and Georgia Haag (51st).

Top three finishers for Montague included Cammie Erickson (21st), Elizabeth Woller (52nd) and Evelyn Koller (81st).

Shelby’s top three were Emma Soelberg (13th), Catalina Stong (72nd) and Aubrey Klotz (76th).

Leading the way for Mason County Central were Adison Thorne (50th), Jayden Baker (73rd) and Nyvaeh Wendt (90th).

North Muskegon’s two runners who placed were Carolyn Bennett (11th) and Addison Reid (94th).

Spring Lake’s boys were led by Ethan Grevengoed who finished 8th. He was followed by teammates Lucas Ruffing (22nd) and Parker Woodwyk (30th).

Leading the way for Ludington were Jose Flores (12th), Trey Keson (25th) and David Reisterer (38th).

Top three runners for Montague were Owen Fairchild (19th), Clay Johnson (23rd) and Alix Draves (55th).

On the girls’ side, Spring Lake was paced by the top three of Bea Reeser (38th), Meghan Guczwa (41st) and Alexis Kotkowicz (44th).

The top three finishers for Ludington were Christian Theis (16th), Nadia Grierson (18th) and Annie Kline (53rd).
