FRUITPORT –The Mona Shores boys soccer team opened the season with a solid game over Fruitport on Wednesday night.
The Sailors shut out the Trojans, 2-0.
Dan Vanderploeg and Kaden Pulaski each scored a goal for the Sailors.
The Sailors’ Dylan Brady and Kaden Semlow each shared time in the net and recorded a shutout.
Goalkeeper Justin Laus made eight saves for the Trojans.
Mona Shores (1-0) will travel to Jenison on Saturday.
Fruitport (0-1) will head north for a Saturday doubleheader against Shelby and Ludington.
