Balanced attack leads Jayhawks past Delta College in volleyball action

UNIVERSITY CENTER –The Muskegon Community College volleyball team remained perfect in the MCCAA North Conference with a convincing win over Delta College on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks cruised to the win in three sets (25-11, 25-11, 25-12).

Reilly Murphy led the way with 15 kills and nine digs followed by Elena Vaara with 12 kills, three aces and two blocks.

Raegan Murphy added 36 assists, 19 digs and nine kills, while Leah Ellis chipped in 10 digs, six kills and four aces.

Kendra Kieft also got in on the action with 17 digs and three assists.

MCC (15-4, 4-0) will battle for first place in the conference at home against Grand Rapids Community College on Thursday.
