FRUITPORT–The Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders cross country teams had to settle for a pair of third-place finishes on Wednesday afternoon at the second Alliance League Conference meet.

Fruitport Calvary Christian served as the host school.

Taking top team honors in the boys’ division was Wyoming Potter’s House with 19.

They were followed by Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation (44), Muskegon Catholic Central (77), Byron Center Zion Christian (117) and Grand River Prep (125).

No local runners finished in the top ten.

Individually, sophomore Jules Roussel from Muskegon Catholic Central finished in 13th place, while teammate junior Jacob Lyonnais finished in 15th place and junior Owen Lyonnais came in 16th place.

Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation took top honors in the girls’ division with 15. They were followed by Wyoming Potter’s House with 59 points. Muskegon Central finished in third place with 80 and Wyoming Lee came in fourth with 89.

Sophomore Ava Wilson from Fruitport Calvary Christian came in seventh place. No other local runners finished in the top ten.

Senior Cally Camara of Muskegon Catholic Central came in 12th place.
