CADILLAC – The Fremont volleyball team competed in the Cadillac Invitational on Saturday and finished 1-2.

The Packers topped Midland, but fell to host Cadillac in pool play.

In bracket play, the Packers battled a well-seasoned Grand RapidsWest Catholic team and fell short in two sets (18-25, 21-25).

Mia Clemence scored eight aces and made two blocks, while Carle Bruggema had 27 assists and six aces.

Kendall Barnhart posted 20 digs, 15 kills and six aces. Taylor Waite added 13 kills with three blocks and Lily VandenBerg made 19 assists and five blocks. Avery Christoffersen and Sage VandenBerg also contributed with 41 digs and 14 kills, respectively.

Fremont will be back to action on Thursday to host a quad match.
