MUSKEGON—It was all Hart in the first West Michigan Conference Rivers jamboree of the cross country season.

The Pirates easily cruised to wins in the boys and girls division on Tuesday afternoon in a meet at University Park Golf Course in Muskegon.

In the boys’ division, Hart took 7-of-10 top individual spots. In the girls’ race, it was eight of the top 10.

The Pirate boys finished with 17 points, while in the girls’ division, Hart finished with 18 points.

In the boys’ division other team scores included: North Muskegon (69), Ravenna (92), Shelby (93), Mason County Central (106) and Hesperia (150).

Hart senior Clayton Ackley won the boys’ race at 16:28.50. He was followed by teammates senior Seth Ackley at 16:45.11 and senior Wyatt Dean at 17:00.97.

Other top ten finishers included: Max Stitt (Hart), Jude Meldrum-Roy (North Muskegon), Evan Atkinson-Miller (North Muskegon), Caleb Bitely (Hart), Matthew Anton (Ravenna), Easton VanderZwaag (Hart) and Jack Slotman (Hart).

In the girls’ race, following Hart was Shelby with 67 points, followed by Mason County Central with 73 points and Ravenna with 84 points.

Taking top individual honors was Hart sophomore Jessica Jazwinski at 18:40.48. She was followed by Hart junior Alyson Enns with a time of 18:57.05 and Shelby senior Emma Soelberg finished in third place at 20:54.93

Other top ten finishers included: Lexie Beth-Nienhuis (Hart), Savanna Owens (Hart), Carolyn Bennett (North Muskegon), Abigail Pretty (Hart), Brooklynn Carter (Hart), Kenai Kohx (Hart) and Lauren Pretty (Hart).
