LUDINGTON—The Ludington girls cross country team took top honors at the Kelder Poured Walls Invitational Hoka One One.

Tuesday’s event was at the Mason County Fairgrounds in Ludington.

Ludington finished with a score of 30 points. They were followed by Manistee with 72 points and Manton with 77 points.

Other team scores included Big Rapids (108), Shelby (156), Ravenna (171), Mason County Central (173) and Pentwater (181).

Ludington sophomore Nadia Grierson took top honors with a time of 13:04.68. Manistee junior Cecilia Postma came in second place with a time of 13:16.70 and Shelby senior Emma Soelberg finished third with a time of 13:29.43.

Other local top ten runners included Summer Brower (Ludington/fifth), Christina Theis (Ludington/seventh), Mackenzie Keillor (Ludington/eighth), Annie Kline (Ludington/ninth) and Olivia Malloy (Ludington (10th).

Anna VanDuinen from Pentwater finished in 14th place while Autumn Morton from Ravenna finished in 22nd place. Adison Thorne from Mason County Central finished in 24th place.

In the boys’ division, Ludington finished second at 68 points. Big Rapids took top team honors with a score of 60 points. Pentwater finished third spot with 84 points.

Other team scores included Manton (98), Ravenna (129), Mason County Central (141), Manistee (145) and Hesperia (187).

Local top ten individual runners included Jose Flores (Ludington/third), Abe VanDuinen (Pentwater/fourth), Trey Keson (Ludington/sixth), Matthew Anton (Ravenna/seventh) and Jack O’Donnell (Manistee/10th).

Gavin Shirey came in 13th place for Mason County Central while Stephen Priese from Hesperia came in 23rd place.
