Montague girls golf team takes top spot at Rocket Invitational

MUSKEGON—The Montague girls golf team won the Rocket Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The event was played at Lincoln Golf Club.

The Wildcats shot a round of 375.

The Mona Shores Sailors finished runner-up with 389 while North Muskegon third place at 415.

Other team scores included Reeths-Puffer (418), Oakridge (420), Montague 2 (458) and Coopersville (326).

Paige Anderson from Reeths-Puffer took top honors with a 78. Mackenzie Goudreau of Montague finished runner-up at 84 and her teammate, Natalie Kellogg, was third with an 85.

Other top ten finishers included Mayson Southland (Mona Shores/93), Maddie Etterman (Mona Shores/94), Raelyn Tyler (Mona Shores/98), Maddie Zimmerman (Coopersville/99) and Kate Utzinger (Oakridge/101).
