CADILLAC – The Montague volleyball team fell in the Silver Bracket finals at the Cadillac Invitational on Saturday.

The Wildcats finished the day with a 3-3 record.

Pool play opened with a loss to Ludington (30-32, 9-25) and wins against Western Michigan Christian (25-21, 20-25, 15-12) and Pine River (25-17, 25-12).

The Wildcats kicked off bracket play with another win against Pine River (25-21, 25-13), but lost to Mt. Pleasant (24-26, 9-25).

Grand Rapids West Catholic stood in the way of the Silver Bracket championship and the Wildcats lost in two sets (16-25, 15-25).

Laura Borras racked up 49 digs, 41 kills and 10 aces, while Britta Johnson added 32 digs, 21 kills and seven aces.

Alissa Wynn had 54 digs, nine assists and seven aces. Jaelyn Sundberg contributed 110 assists, 27 digs, 11 kills and an ace.

Maizie Collins posted 35 digs, six kills, four aces and four blocks. Anastasia Trevino also threw in with 37 kills, 12 blocks and eight digs.

Montague will host Whitehall on Tuesday.
