MUSKEGON — Muskegon Catholic turned in a business-like performance on Friday night and defeated host Orchard View 34-12 on Friday night.

Quarterback Bryan Convertini turned in a stellar performance in the ground game with four touchdowns. Convertini rushed 14 times for 117 yards and scored on runs of 30, 33, 5 and 2 yards. David Hill accounted for MCC’s other touchdown on a 10-yard run. He had nine carries for 58 yards.

Orchard View scored two second-half touchdowns on runs by Stephon Oakes and Jaxon Tuttle. Oakes rushed nine times for 53 yards.

MCC took a 14-0 lead after one quarter and extended it to 21-0 at the half.

Linebacker Sam Kartes led the Crusader defense with 10.5 tackles.

Muskegon Catholic hosts Schoolcraft next Friday.

Orchard View hosts Fremont next Friday.
