RAVENNA—The Muskegon Oakridge Eagles girls cross country team captured the top spot on Thursday afternoon at the Bulldog Invite held at Ravenna.

Oakridge finished with a team score of 37 points just ahead of Grand Rapids Union who tallied a score of 45. They were followed by Ravenna with 56 points and Muskegon Orchard View with 85 points.

Oakridge claimed the top three individual spots with junior Merceydez Patton taking top honors with a time of 24:23.06. She was followed by junior Raegan Ruel and fellow junior Cara Morse.

The remainder of the top ten finishers included: Sarah Robinette (GR Union), Caroline Chardoul (GR Union), Autumn Morton (Ravenna), Milla Hanks (Oakridge), Alaitz Urutxurto (Ravenna), Alexa Bordeaux (Orchard View) and Rachel Sackett (GR Union).

In the boys division, Grand Rapids Union narrowly got by Ravenna and Oakridge.

Union finished with a team score of 38, while Ravenna was close behind with 42 points and Oakridge finished with 46 points.

Sophomore Peyton Ruel of Oakridge took top individual honors with a time of 18:06.76. Junior Matthew Anton of Ravenna finished runner-up with a time of 18:43.04 and senior Quinton Dixon of Grand Rapids Union came in 3rd place with a finishing time of 20:02.29.

Other top ten finishers included: Dylan VanKoevering (Ravenna), Garrison Klinge (Oakridge), Dominik Lamberts (GR Union), Max Eitzen (GR Union), Aron Sjoelund (Ravenna), David Utzinger (Oakridge) and Samson Kik (GR Union).

The top finisher for Orchard View was Landon Andrews (26th).
