MONTAGUE–The Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars claimed the Montague Invitational title on Thursday afternoon as they shot a round of 339.
The event was played at Old Channel Trail Golf Course on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The Trojans of Traverse City Central finished runner-up with a score of 349 and the Ludington Orioles came in third place at 362.
Other team scores for the day included: Sparta (366), NorthPointe Christian (367), Montague (374), Whitehall (384), Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep (387), Traverse City West (389), Reeths-Puffer (413), Montague II (435), Oakridge (440), Kenowa Hills (444), North Muskegon (456), Whitehall II (474), Traverse City West II (482), Holton (486) and Western Michigan Christian (508).
Sophomore Ava Wisinski of Grand Rapids Catholic Central and Reeths-Puffer junior Paige Anderson tied for top individual honors with rounds of 76.
Ludington junior Emma McKinley and Traverse City West senior Ainslee Hewitt finished in a tie for runner-up with a round of 78.
The remainder of the top ten individual scores included: Evelyn Nowicki (Traverse City Central/81), Mya Jones (NorthPointe Christian/82), Emalynn Benham (Sparta/83), MacKenzie Goudreau (Montague/83), Kelsey Preston (GR Catholic Central/83) and Natalie Kellogg (Montague/84).
