WHITE CLOUD–The White Cloud Indians won a tough game on Friday evening against the Hesperia Panthers 26-14 in a game played in White Cloud.

Offensively the Indians were led in rushing by Jace Silverthorn with 133 yards and two touchdowns. Landyn Mcgowen had 72 yards and a touchdown.

In the air Nate Compeau had 99 yards receiving and a touchdown from the combination of Mason Ruether throwing for 75 yards and Jace Silverthorn connecting for a TD on a 40 yard pass.

Leading White Cloud defensively was Silverthorn with 11 tackles, Carlos Brown with 10 tackles and a sack. Mason Ruether had two interceptions while Nate Compeau added a pick and Lloyd Sebright-Johnson and Landyn Mcgowen each had 2 sacks.

For Hesperia Alex Gleason completed 10 of 20 passes for 163 yards and he threw 3 interceptions. Gleason also rushed for 61 yards on 12 carries and scored one touchdown. Skyler Stalbaum picked up 96 yards on the ground on 16 attempts along with scoring a touchdown.

Mav McKinnon had three catches good for 71 yards.

Brock Bolles led the Panther defense with 12 tackles, while Stalbaum had 8 tackles and McKinnon finished with six tackles.

White Cloud now 2-1 overall will travel to Kent City next Friday, September 16th while Hesperia (1-2) will host North Muskegon next Friday.
