MUSKEGON — Ludington traveled to Orchard View for a West Michigan Conference-Lakes match with the Cardinals and came away with a convincing 25-6, 25-3 and 25-9 win.

“We tried some new things tonight, and ran some different plays we’ve been working on,” said Ludington head coach Liz Holden. “The girls executed them, and had a lot of fun doing it.”
 
As usual, it was Maddy Vaara pacing the attack for the Orioles, coming through on the attack line with 10 kills while triggering the defense with eight digs and two blocks, while chipping in with a service ace.
 
Jordyn Anderson helped fuel the offense with 19 assists, and had five blocks, three kills, five digs and one ace. Mia Pung had three aces, seven digs and three assists.
 
Keelyn Laird stepped up with six aces, three digs, three kills, one block and one assist. Ashley McPike had seven kills at the attack line and added one ace and one block.
 
Mya Bryant had five digs, one kill and one ace. Morgan Simpson chipped in with two digs, one kill, one block and one ace. Olivia Lynn had four kills and Mia Voss one.

Ludington travels to Fremont for a quad meet next Tuesday.

Orchard View will visit Muskegon Thursday, Sept. 22nd.
