MUSKEGON –The Mona Shores boys soccer team claimed victory over Reeths-Puffer in the inaugural “Causeway Classic” on Tuesday.
The Sailors won after they edged out the Rockets by a score of 2-1.
The action was tied 1-1 at the half but the Sailors found the upper hand to snag the win.
Dan VanderPloeg and Conner Foreman netted a goal apiece for the Sailors.
Abe Freye and Kaden Pulaski connected the assists on the goals.
The Rockets’ Liam Smith continued his tally of goals this season with a single score.
Mona Shores (9-1-2, 6-0) is set to visit for more league play at Muskegon on Thursday.
Reeths-Puffer (5-5-2) will also continue the conference season at Holland on Thursday.
