HASTINGS — Whitehall flexed its offensive muscle for the second week in a row on Thursday in a 41-30 victory over Hastings.

Last week, the Vikings clobbered Hudsonville Unity Christian.

On Thursday, quarterback Kyle Stratton was an efficient 10-of-13 passing for 197 yards and three touchdowns.

Whitehall led 28-24 at the half and 41-24 heading into the final quarter.

Jackson Cook was the leading rusher with seven carries for 63 yards. He scored one touchdown. Nate Bolley caught two passes for 52 yards and both went for touchdowns. Trannon Aylor had three catches for 94 yards and one score. Malcom Earvin rushed just three times, but produced 37 yards and one touchdown.

Whitehall (2-0) racked up 424 yards in total offense.

On defense, Jackson Cook had 7.5 tackles and Jaiden Altigibers had five. Bolley had an interception.

A bright spot for Hastings was Lanny Teunnessen, who rushed eight times for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught a pass for 60 yards.

Next week, the Vikings will host Alpena in the first of three straight games at home.
