MANISTEE — Oakridge traveled to Manistee for a West Michigan Conference-Lakes girls volleyball match with the Chippewas and took a 3-0 win, 25-8, 25-11 and 25-17.

It was the Eagles’ first conference win of the season.
 
The Eagles’ offense had its best performance of the season. Gracie Willea led the team with 23 assists in 30 attempts.
 
Leading the Eagles attacking was Madison Babinec who put down 12 kills in 16 attempts,
Kaelinn Jozsa had 15 attacks with six kills, Lily Blackburn had four kills in nine attacks and Andrea Romero had three kills in 10 attacks.
 
Oakridge served at 90 percent with Haley Seewald and Mallori Whipple each scoring four aces, and Blackburn and Willea served three aces apiece.
 
Blackburn added a block, and the Eagles received strong performances by Ahria Boornbos, Whipple, Seewald and Kylee Willea.
 
The Eagles improved their record to 3-10 overall and 1-2 in the league. Oakridge takes to the road for a league match at Holton next Tuesday.
 
Manistee travels to Traverse City Christian for a non-conference match next Tuesday.
