MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders boys and girls cross country teams each finished in the third positions at the Alliance League Conference Championship Cross Country meet on Tuesday afternoon. The event was held at Muskegon Catholic Central High School.

Wyoming Potter’s House took the top spot in the boys division with a team score of 17 points. They were followed by Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation with 50 points. MCC finished with 77 points. Byron Center Zion Christian finished in fourth place with 109 points while Grand River Prep finished in fifth place with 116 points.

Top runners for Muskegon Catholic Central included junior Jacob Lyonnais (8th), junior Owen Lyonnais (9th), junior Jack Walkenhorst (24th), freshman Lukas Rennells (26th) and senior Kenny Lehan (46th).

In the girls division Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation claimed the title with a score of 19 points. Wyoming Potter’s House finished in second place with a score of 57. MCC finished with 79 points while Wyoming Lee came in fourth place with 88 points.

Top runners for Muskegon Catholic included senior Cally Camara (10th), senior Kassidy Kleinheksel (11th), junior Catherine Cone (27th), junior Abby Lee (37th) and sophomore Ella Staniforth (40th),

Fruitport Calvary Christian sophomore Ava Wilson finished in sixth place while her senior teammate McKena Wilson finished in the 13th spot.
