FRUITPORT –The Fruitport Calvary Christian volleyball team took a hard loss to Zion Christian in Alliance League action on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles trailed but fell in five close sets (25-19, 23-25, 20-25, 25-20, 5-15).

Marissa Tyler spearheaded the offense with six aces, four kills and three assists.

Kamea Sutherland chipped in 12 kills, seven digs and five aces, while Ella Dykman had 20 kills, nine digs and two aces.

Michayla Assaad added to the defensive production with 12 digs.

Calvary Christian (2-8, 0-4) will continue league play at Wyoming Lee on Thursday.
